All About Central Church

Your First Visit To Central

All experiences at Central are comprised of two primary elements: powerful worship and life changing messages. Worship at Central is led by our Worship Leader, Jody Braselton, along with our talented group of vocalists and band members. Our worship is best described as contemporary, prophetic and in depth. Our Sunday services last about one and a half hours. We want you to experience great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and a casual, enjoyable atmosphere. You’ll feel comfortable whether you’re dressed in a three piece suit or whether jeans and a t-shirt are more your style.

Wee Central Nursery and Kid Central Children’s Church are designed uniquely for ages birth through fifth grade. Your child will experience engaging, age-appropriate teaching, music, drama and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily, growing relationship with Christ. Our children’s departments are staffed by dedicated volunteers who will be there week after week to care for and show love to your child. All children’s programs ensure a safe environment for your child through the use of the latest computerized technology for check-in and check-out.
REVO, our youth ministry, has multiple opportunities for students in sixth through twelfth grades to get involved with. It is dedicated to connecting the heart of your student to the heart of God. REVO is the weekly experience for Central Youth and is modeled much like the weekend service experiences for adults. There is live worship, teaching that is relevant and applicable to a student’s life, hands-on interaction with our campus Youth Pastor, staff and volunteers. Students are encouraged to participate in small groups, where they build relationships with their peers, develop accountability and grow together in their personal relationship with Christ. During the weekend, we encourage students to take part in the Sunday worship experiences with their parents.

Experience Worship At Central

Central Worship exists for two sole purposes! First, to bring glory to God Almighty, and second to create an atmosphere where people are ushered into the presence of God. Praise and worship is a cornerstone of our foundation here at Central. We see every service as an opportunity to lift high praises to God because of who He is.

Our Worship team exists to passionately proclaim the infinite greatness of God at all times, through spirit-led praise and worship.”

As we do our mission, we expect to see lives changed, souls saved and God’s Kingdom expanded in the earth. Our motivation is and always will be our love for Christ because He first loved us.

Our Mission

Central Church started in 2004 with the single focus of “leading people into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ”.

Our Core Values

Love God

Our greatest desire is to present ourselves holy and acceptable to Him because of our love for Him. Our love for God is and should be the motivation behind everything we do as a Christian on a personal level and as a body of believers on a corporate level.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

Love People

Everything Jesus did while on this Earth in human body was an expression of His love for others. In order to be called Christians or “Christ Like” we must follow His example to us in loving People. This is why we do what we do in every avenue of ministry.

The second greatest commandment is like unto the first in that we should love others… “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39

Character & Integrity

We have determined that it does not matter what any other ministry does, we are going to be obedient with the call of God that we have heard for this ministry. In a time of compromise, we have determined that everything we do will bring glory to God. This is with all avenues of ministry here at Central and in our personal lives.

Present Excellence

We believe that God deserves nothing but our very best. God gave us His very best and in return deserves nothing less than our very best. This does not mean that we have to be perfect, it simply means we gave it our best and in our weakness God will honor what has been done and He will always make the difference.

Have Fun

We believe that ministry should be fun! We want people to enjoy where they serve.

“God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

This means so much more than just our money. This means in every way we serve the Lord and others that we enjoy doing it. We want people to serve where their Passion is, not where we have an empty position or need.

What We Believe

We believe there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Trinity to be God revealing Himself in three Devine Persons, each distinct in office from the other, yet perfectly one – constituting one God not three. (Matt. 28:19, Luke 3:22, John 14:9 & 17:3)
We believe in the deity of our lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and toning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and in glory to rule a thousand years. (Psalm. 90:2, Isaiah 43:10, Matt. 1:23, John 1:14, Acts 1:9-11, Corinthians 153:4, Phil. 2:13, Col. 1:1-2, Heb. 7:26 & 9:18)

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbal and inspired word of God. The scriptures are inerrant, infallible, God-breathed and therefore the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1: 20-1)
We believe Christ’s second coming includes a pre-tribulation rapture of the church – the sudden catching away of believers on the earth and those who’ve died in Christ (Our Blessed Hope). This rapture is followed by a literal 7 year period of unparalleled tribulation and judgment on the earth, then the final judgment of the wicked dead resulting in everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, which is the second death. (Daniel 12:11, Matt. 24:15, 21, 29, Matt. 25:46, Mark 9:43-48, Luke 21:36, John 14:2-3, 1Thess. 4:13-17, Rev. 3:10, 7:14, 10:11-15, Rev. 19;20, 21:8)

We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance toward God and in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that all of us are sinners and in need of a Savior, unable to earn our salvation through doing good works and thereby destined for eternal separation and judgment from God. However, we also believe that there is Good News! That salvation is the free gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This abundant, everlasting life with God and the forgiveness of sins is available through Jesus Christ alone and is offered to all who confess their sins and believe and trust in His death on the cross. (Isaiah 53:1-10, Luke 8:6, John 3:16, 10:10, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23, Eph. 2:8-10, 1 Thess. 5:23, 1 John 1:9)

We believe water baptism is for all believers and is to be practiced by immersion. It symbolizes our being buried with Christ unto death of self; and as Christ was raised from the dead, so shall we also walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19, Mark 6:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4-5, Col. 2:12)

We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of and unborn human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching which states that abortions performed because of rape, incest, birth defects, sex selection, birth control, population control or the mental well being of the mother are acceptable. (Job 3:26, Psalm 51:5 & 139:14-16, Isaiah 44:24 & 49:1,5, Jeremiah 1:5 & 20:15-16, Luke 1:44)

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it in faith. We believe that by the believer’s continued submission to the Holy Spirit, his very weakness is transformed into strength to witness for Jesus Christ in power and to live according to the will of God. (Matt. 3:11, Acts 1:5,8, 10:46, 19:6)

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Gal. 5:16)

We believe divine healing was provided to the believer through Christ finished work on the cross and that it is God’s will for us to be healed – in spirit, soul and body. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matt. 8:17, Acts 10:38, 1 Peter 1:4)

We believe the Lord’s Supper (communion) using the physical elements of the bread and the fruit of the vine, is to be done in remembrance of the shed blood and body of Christ proclaiming His death on the cross for us. (Luke 22:19, Corinthians 11:17-30, 2 Peter 1:4)

We believe that every Christian is a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him and is obligated to support of the local church financially. We believe God established the tithe (10% of the gross income – the first fruits) as a basis for giving, and that every Christian should also give other offerings, both sacrificially and cheerfully, to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and to spread the Gospel. (Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10-11, Matthew 23:23, Luke 14:42, 1 Corinthians 10:11)

We believe that God commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversion of Gods gift of sex. The good news, however, is that as with all sins these too, can be forgiven through the heartfelt admission of our sins and belief in the shed blood of Jesus Christ death on the cross for us. (Genesis 2:24 & 19:5,13, Leviticus 18:1-30, Romans 1:26-29, 1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:9, I Thessalonians 4:1-8, Hebrews 13:4, 1 John 1:9)
